I Made This – Metal & Glass

Some of the more difficult materials to work with at home are metal and glass. Here are a few things I made using high heat to forge or melt.

Forging a Knife – Starting from an old railroad tie, I forged a knife as a gift for my father.

Glass – With Elena Syrovatkina, we made these glass flowers at a glass workshop on Granville Island.

Tin Melting – Using silicon ice molds and molten tin, we created a metal Darth Vader.
