Metropolis at Metrotown celebrated its 40th anniversary with a two-month immersive event running April to June 2026, transforming the Grand Court into a nostalgia-inspired installation complete with hanging blossoms, a LOVE sign, an infinity room, and retro displays nodding to beloved past attractions. I produced a looping vertical video featured on three sides of a reflective walk-through installation at the heart of the activation — a parallax-animated slideshow chronicling four decades of mall and Metro Vancouver history, designed to feel like flipping through a living scrapbook. The video was built to complement the surrounding immersive environment and run continuously as guests moved through the space.
